The Perfect Chocolate Glazed Paleo Donuts

With some simple healthy swaps, you can make some of your favorite holiday treats, but healthy! Enter these paleo donuts. These are the ultimate holiday donuts with a delicious chocolate drizzle that can be enjoyed any time of year, but they are sure to be a hit at holiday brunch too.

The best part? These are blender donuts, so you’ll be left with minimal prep and clean up time, and these paleo donuts are also totally guilt-free. Made without gluten, grains, dairy, soy, and refined sugar, keep this recipe handy. The Perfect Chocolate Glazed Paleo Donuts 

Makes: 6 donuts 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cup almond flour 
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder 
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar 
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon 
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg 
  • ⅛ tsp sea salt 
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted 
  • ¼ cup almond milk 
  • 2 eggs 

For the Holiday Chocolate Drizzle 

  • ¼ cup coconut or almond milk 
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cacao powder 
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg 

Directions:

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a donut pan with coconut oil. 
  2. Next, add all the ingredients, minus the ingredients for the chocolate drizzle, to a high-speed blender and blend until the mixture is smooth. 
  3. Spoon or pipe the batter into the greased donut pans. 
  4. Bake for about 15-18 minutes. 
  5. Remove from the oven and allow the donuts to cool completely. 
  6. While cooling, make the chocolate drizzle by adding all ingredients to a stockpot over low/medium heat.
  7. Simmer on low for about 5 minutes, whisking until it begins to thicken up. 
  8. Drizzle over the cooled donuts. 
  9. Enjoy!
