The Perfect Chocolate Glazed Paleo Donuts
Makes: 6 donuts
Ingredients:
- 1 ¼ cup almond flour
- 1.5 tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup coconut sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ⅛ tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup coconut oil, melted
- ¼ cup almond milk
- 2 eggs
For The Chocolate Drizzle
- ¼ cup coconut or almond milk
- ¼ cup coconut sugar
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cacao powder
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
Directions:
Step #1: Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a donut pan with coconut oil.
Step #2: Next, add all the ingredients, minus the ingredients for the chocolate drizzle, to a high-speed blender and blend until the mixture is smooth.
Step #3: Spoon or pipe the batter into the greased donut pans.
Step #4: Bake for about 15-18 minutes.
Step #5: Remove from the oven and allow the donuts to cool completely.
Step #6: While cooling, make the chocolate drizzle by adding all ingredients to a stockpot over low/medium heat.
Step #7: Simmer on low for about 5 minutes, whisking until it begins to thicken up.
Step #8: Drizzle over the cooled donuts.
