Healthier Valentine’s Day Chocolate Chip Cookies

Valentine’s Day calls for all things chocolate and heart-shaped, and these healthy Valentine’s Day chocolate chip cookies are the best of both worlds — seasonally adorable, yet free of all the added sugar. These cookies are something the whole family will love! 

These cookies are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and refined sugar-free — and while they may be healthier than the traditional chocolate chip cookie, they are so delicious no one would ever know they were made with healthier ingredients. 

So, whether you’re looking to do some seasonal baking or are in need of a quick homemade V-Day gift, these healthy Valentine’s Day chocolate chip cookies are a must-try and the perfect addition to any Valentine’s Day at home plans. 

Deliciously Healthy Valentine’s Day Chocolate Chip Cookies 

Ingredients

  • ½ cup coconut oil, melted
  • ¾ cup coconut sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp oat milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 ¾ cup all-purpose gluten-free flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp cacao nibs
  • Dairy-free yogurt & natural Valentine’s Day sprinkles (like Supernatural brand)

Directions

Step #1: Start by adding the melted coconut oil, coconut sugar, and eggs to a mixing bowl, and mix until combined. Add the oat milk and vanilla. 

Step #2: Add the baking powder, salt, and add the gluten-free flour ½ cup at a time and mix until combined. 

Step #3: Fold in the chocolate chips and cacao nibs. 

Step #4: Chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes. 

Step #5: Grease the heart-shaped cookie cutter with coconut oil and roll the chilled dough into 1 inch balls. Press the dough into the cookie cutter on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Remove the cookie cutter and continue this process with the rest of the dough. 

Step #6: Bake for about 10 minutes. 

Step #7: Allow the cookies to cool and then top with dairy-free yogurt and sprinkles of choice. 

Step #8: Enjoy as a delicious Valentine’s treat!
