November Nutrition Must-Haves
#1 Cookbooks That Are Perfect For The Holiday Season
Oh She Glows For Dinner
Looking for some delicious plant-based recipes? We’re loving Angela Liddon’s new Oh She Glows For Dinner cookbook that includes plenty of delicious dinner options for the upcoming holiday season.
Against All Grain Celebrations
We’re loving Danielle Walkers Celebration’s cookbook, especially for this time of year. This is a great option for anyone who eats Paleo, gluten-free, or dairy-free.
#2 A Seasonally Delicious Healthy Hot Chocolate
This month, we’re loving all the warming and comforting drinks made healthy. We made a delicious healthy hot chocolate (with hidden superfoods) that we’ll be drinking all winter long!
Here’s how to make it.
Healthy Hot Chocolate With Hidden Superfoods
- 1 cup unsweetened oat or almond milk
- ½ cup full-fat unsweetened coconut milk (canned)
- 1.5 tbsp raw, unsweetened cacao powder
- 1 tsp ghee
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
- Top with coconut whipped cream and a sprinkle of raw cacao nibs
Add all the ingredients minus the whipped cream to a stockpot over low/medium heat and whisk well, heating until warm.
Pour into two mugs and top with coconut whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and turmeric.

If you are looking to uplevel your evening routine and add some superfoods to the mix, we’re loving Cosmic Gold from Moon Juice. This powder, when mixed with your favorite dairy-free milk of choice, turns into a creamy and delicious adaptogenic latte, which makes the perfect nightcap after a busy day.
Pre-Holiday Season November Wellness Staples
FitOn Trainer Sydney Benner’s Favorite Face Care Product
As part of our November wellness staples line-up, we’re totally here for all the added cold-weather skincare support. FitOn trainer Sydney Benner dished on one of her favorite wellness products she swears by — she loves the vegan brand True Botanicals!
Yogi Bare Acupressure Mat and Pillow Set
As a gift for yourself or for someone else, this combo is great for both at-home and travel wellness. Acupressure is a needle-free take on the Traditional Chinese Medicine concept of acupuncture, relieving pain and recalibrating the body through the use of — you guessed it — pressure.
This concept is centered on alleviating stagnation of Qi, the body’s natural energy, and some published science says it could be a solution for back and neck pain. Take it all to the next level by laying on the mat for five to 10 minutes while doing a FitOn meditation!
Stella Andromeda Astrology Books
Do you know someone who’s turned to the cosmos for some spiritual self-care? Gift your favorite astrology buff a book honoring their sun sign. This Stella Andromeda book collection has an edition for each star sign, from Aries to Pisces. At under $15, they make an awesome secret Santa gift or stocking stuffer.
Alternatively, you can just get yourself one, cozy up by the fireplace with some tea, and start doing some emotional and spiritual wellness work by getting to know yourself a little better.
Comfort Zone Hydramemory Cream
For stressed and dry winter skin, you’ve got to take hydration seriously (internally and externally) — so treat yourself (and your largest organ!) with a good face cream. This beautiful, gentle moisturizer is an absolute favorite wellness staple for so many reasons. Not only is this sustainably made in Italy (using renewable energy and CO2 compensated packaging), but it’s made from 92-percent natural-origin ingredients and free from synthetic fragrance, silicones, parabens, and any animal derivatives (vegan!).
With superstar ingredients like macro hyaluronic acid and fair trade moringa oil, you’ll combat flaky redness, restore comfort, get that ~*~glow~*~ and feel so much better with that soft, smooth, hydrated face.
Cold Weather Fitness Staples
Yeti Ice Pink Water Bottle With Chug Cap
Whether you need a new water bottle for your at-home workouts or you are in search of a high-quality gift under $50 for a fellow fitness enthusiast, the Yeti water bottle with a chug cap (emphasis on the chug cap) is a great one to add to a holiday wish list. The stainless steel double wall insulation keeps your water super cold (a must for hot and sweaty workouts), and it’s dishwasher safe making it easy to clean.
That chug cap allows for what Yeti calls “controlled gulps,” but what really is control when it comes to hydration… you know?
Hoka Clifton 7
Here’s an excellent walking or running sneaker that’s lightweight, springy, and soft, and insanely comfortable. If you’re in need of a new workout shoe, we’re eyes these and adding them to our November wellness staples wish list.
Lululemon Down For It All Vest
For chillier weather runs and walks, outdoor adventures, winter workouts outside (We get it! Fresh air is a must!), or simply an elevated athleisure look (very on-brand for 2020), this is the ultimate cold-weather active accessory. It’s featherlight with 700 fill power goose down (responsibly sourced!), water and wind-resistant, and sports pockets and reflective details.
Stay warm without weighing yourself down and comfortable without compromising style — all while you stay active this season. And yes, if you must know, we’re also totally into this ice pink.
FitOn Trainer Kenta Seki Swears By His Wireless Headphones
Kenta Seki swears by his wireless headphones and says, “I NEED my music to work out.” Feel the same way and haven’t jumped on the wireless headphone bandwagon yet? This may be a great holiday wish list item to make listening to your music during your workouts even easier.
