There’s no denying the fact that this week (or really this year) has been stressful. It’s ok to accept that you’re feeling extra stressed or anxious. Sometimes just acknowledging that feeling is far less stressful than trying to pretend that those feelings aren’t there. Today, simply check in with how you’re feeling and ask yourself what you need.
Do you need to take a day away from social media or take some extra time to just be alone and away from all the outside noise?

#6 Sip on a Comforting Drink
Take a five-minute break from the busy day and curl up on the couch with a mug of herbal tea to help settle post-election tension, even if it’s just for a few minutes.
Try to steer clear of caffeinated beverages if you’re already feeling anxious, and try a comforting drink like chamomile tea or bone broth instead.

#7 Get to Bed Earlier
With the time change and election coverage on at all times of the day, it’s easy to get caught up in it all and stay up way too late, but here’s the thing — a lack of sleep is only going to make us feel more stressed.
