10 Hacks to Keep Your Goals on Track

#1 Take a Closer Look at What You Do With Your Spare Time

Now that we all have extra time on our hands, it’s easy to eat out of boredom. So, take a moment to reflect on your eating habits since the start of the stay-at-home order. Do you tend to search through your fridge or pantry when you’re bored? Or maybe you’ve been baking lots of sweets with your extra time.

No matter what the case, leave the judgment aside, and just be mindful about it! If you realize that eating because you’re bored may be causing you not to eat as healthy as you would like, let’s take a look at what you can do with this extra time instead. Read on and use the tips below to lose fat and combat food boredom at the same time!

#7 Cook From Your Pantry

Even if you don’t have a ton stocked in your kitchen right now, we bet there’s a healthy recipe you could whip up. Here are some of our favorite tips on how to lose fat even if you have limited ingredients on hand.

  • Pair complex carbs (such as brown rice or quinoa) with any veggie you have on hand and a protein source like chicken or turkey. Create a nourishing bowl and add your sauce of choice like soy sauce, coconut aminos, or tahini.
  • Make overnight oats for breakfast each day! Oats are inexpensive and make a great pantry staple. You can make a healthy and filling overnight oat recipe each night to enjoy in the morning for a healthy breakfast. Try adding some fresh fruit and a drizzle of nut butter.
  • Try making homemade trail mix for a filling and low-carb snack — toss whatever nuts you have on hand together and munch on trail mix after a workout or when cravings hit!

#8 Blend up a Daily Clean Protein Shake

Enjoy a clean protein shake with a scoop of collagen peptides or a plant-based option with some unsweetened almond milk, berries, and a handful of dark leafy greens to enjoy as your pre or post-workout fuel. Better yet, rely on this shake to nourish your body and keep those sugary snack cravings in check.

#9 Re-fuel With The Right Fat-Burning Foods After Your Daily Sweat

Another super important part of burning fat is exercising on the reg, and if you’re doing more home workouts lately with the stay-at-home orders still in place, you’re killin’ it! After those FitOn sweat seshes, make sure to refuel with the foods your body needs the most after a good workout. Plus, you can add some fat-burning foods to the mix for an added boost.

Here are two of our favorite picks for how to lose fat and nourish your body after a workout.
